However I mostly took out loans for grad school. My husband and I have paid for our house, cars, vacations and all child related expenses ourselves. I am proud that our lifestyle is fully self funded and not bankrolled my either set of grandparents even they both have money. It’s part of being a self sufficient adult and having the satisfaction that all that the self sufficiency was possible because we got a good education (thanks mom and dad!) and now have a job and income that makes it all possible .[/quote]
