I knew someone with two good explanations: First marriage arranged and they had nothing in common, Second marriage was to a women who was also recovering from an arranged, but abusive marriage. She had trust issues and they thought that the common histories of rebelling against arranged marriages would be enough. What he didn't realize is that she was tremendously scarred from the domestic violence. Now he is married and in his 50s. Wife and kids, however, this wife is ill and will likely not live very long. So he might have three reasonable excuses.
How is the first one a good excuse? If you don’t have anything in common, you don’t date and marry. Horrible excuse. I don’t buy the second excuse either. He should have dated her long enough to know she had issues. The guy is a loser who can’t accept responsibility for his poor choice in spouses.
