I'm sure some kids are overlooked - that's definitely the nature of the tryouts.  Hopefully, they will still show enough to catch the coach's eye and make a team.  Completely new to Arlington here so couldn't tell if any fields were "reserved" but my son was moved at least 5 times including the near left corner field over the last two days.  He did say that it was more difficult to play on the field where all other boys seemed to know each other (really had to fight for possession as the boys tended to pass only to known teammates, which makes sense for players this young).  As with any tryout, it's always difficult to come in from outside the club and/or be a completely unknown entity to coaches.   As to the numbers, I expected there would be more kids.  Curious to see what others think.[/quote]
