BSC polled the membership and the overwhelming majority of members wanted to play high school, and were interested primarily in College recruiting, over national/international/professional play.  Thus, the decision to stick with ECNL[/quote]

That’s current players who have been in the old system for years. I think it will change as the system shakes out. There will be a few holdouts in the ECNL who will be able to draw the top players(mainly urban areas), but nation wide the DA will win out. The few holdouts will be excluded from the tournaments and find it harder and harder find quality opponents to play(ie a lot more travel). This will drive the cost up. The college coaches will follow the DA. It’s just a matter of time. [/quote]

Or even the current 04 and 05 players once parents begin comparing the lists of college coaches attending GDA showcases v ECNL events v (yawn) USYS events like the National League stuff, which seems to be the only place left for clubs outside of the DA and ECNL structure to go to try to get a look from college coaches.
