Hey, that is a qood question.  If you are at McLean Soccer they are not going to tell you anything.  They want players to try out for the ECNL later in Spring, not GDA.  I bet it is the same at Bethesda.

u hit the nail on the head. clubs do not care at all if you are informed about what may be best for your dd or is there is something she might want to consider. it is a business. we have met parents waiting for their coach or club -- that has neither ecnl or da -- to tell them about what they are supposed to do with their star dd and they act like their trusty top team coach is going to guide or alert them. the pp is correct, it is just naive to drink this kool-aid that they will take care of you. talk to parents read online and meet coaches from outside your network that are in the know and dont have an agenda. good luck to all.
