When the stimulus bill was passed, the dems took great pains to keep the debt blow to below $1 Trillion. That bill kept jobs and added new jobs via infrastructure spending. Despite that, the DOP as recently as in this thread is complaining about it, yet support the current bill on the table that doesn't provide any new jobs or any meaningful tax relief to the middle class, where such relief is put right back into the economy. People also forget that of the $800 billion stimulus , nearly $300 billion was tax cuts and $150 billion was aid to state and local governments so that they did not have to raise taxes too much (or cut services).  Only 45% was government stimulus spending.[/quote]
