LOL!  Learn to add.  Learn to think about "unintended consequences"--in this case, all the little problems that arise from changing the name.  Stationary, signs, turf, rubber stamps, paperwork, transcripts, binders, logos, more signs, spirit gear, uniforms, athletic equipment, band equipment.  Then, think about all the time it will take in administrative duties to purchase and change all of these things.  Then, multiply all the extra time that admin will spend on transcripts from former students and all the letters that will have to accompany college admissions processes, etc.  SATs; ACTs;  All of these things are tied to the school and will cause problems that require time and effort.  One million is probably just a start.  FCPS has already acknowledged $750 K in real things--they did not take the admin costs into consideration.  And, FYI, labor is always one of the biggest expenses.

My understanding is FCPS estimates have ranged from as much as $675K to as little as under $200K.  Trying to monetize every routine task you can think of and then rounding way up to $1.0 million is pathetic.

Assuming the name change is implemented on these items within the first year of implementation, and based on preliminary estimates, the following may be costs involved in a name change:
•Front school marquee, baseball/stadium/softball scoreboards, stadium field logos, gym wall murals, gym wall padding, main gym scoreboard – approximately $270,000
•Athletic team uniforms – approximately $154,000
•Band uniforms and equipment - approximately $150,000
•Other miscellaneous items that carry the school logo (may vary depending on attrition or removal versus replacement) - approximately $104,000
