This thread and Jen in general is WILD to me because I have a friend who is so much like Jen it's insane. Church kid, married a pastor, family who loved and doted on her like she hung the literal moon. She is the star of the family and all of the world. She is THE SAME. It's uncanny. So while I see that Jen isn't necessarily a narcissist due to neglected upbringing, there is another way. My friend is also a social media person (got her platform from weight loss MLM and somehow entwining being skinny on a 1000 a day diet and following Jesus the same thing. They were pastors too but were such obnoxious people who use others and trample up their backs it didn't last. The money was too good from the MLM to answer the phone call at 1am to pastor a sick person. She thinks every thought and observation she has is just wisdom from on high. "Date night is so important you guys." um thanks. You've been married 4 weeks longer than I have..spare me the super insightful observations with the highly filtered selfie and inspiring font. She has burned so many friendships in our circle because she's a user and a climber. The ones that stick are literal doormats who will fan her flame. It's so BIZARRE watching these two women live parallel fake and obnoxious lives. Four years ago I would say these two women were as different as night and day but Jen has become the same person as her. It's awful to watch and because I know this other person up close, it's horrid to think this is who Jen is. How did we as women become such an easy mark for the influencer world? The worst people in our society make money off the very thing that makes them the worst. Self centered, climbers, shrewd calculating users of others to find and keep the spotlight. Just utter insanity that it keeps working.
Umm please share your friend's Instagram handle, so we can go investigate and appreciate these similarities you speak of. :-D
