They just can’t screw up the messaging.

They have to make it very clear that they tried to pull the only levers they had to help the American people as best they could and that Trump shut down the government anyway. He doesn’t care about America. He doesn’t care about Americans. Many Americans went weeks suffering to try  to keep the Epstein files secret.

They’re willing to reopen the government in which Trump controls all three branches of governmentto save people pain that Trump has caused them, but let it be clear,  long-term pain will become apparent shortly. Then talk about premiums costs and inflation.

The only concession they ask at this point is to seat and swearingduly elected officials. We need Mike Johnson’s word on record.[/quote]

Democrat's policies and actions are causing young people to abandon the party.

Biden expanded immigration thru out his entire term. Biden, and Harris the Border Czar, created the disaster that lost the election to an idiot like Trump.

In his first 100 days in office, Biden signed more than 60 executive actions, 24 of which are direct reversals of Trump’s policies.
Biden has defended the number as necessary to undo what he considers “bad policy” inherited from Trump, especially on immigration.
To date, 10 of his 12 actions on immigration are reversals of Trump’s policies.

“And I want to make it clear — there’s a lot of talk, with good reason, about the number of executive orders that I have signed — I’m not making new law; I’m eliminating bad policy,” Biden said as he signed a series of actions on immigration from the Oval Office on February 2. “What I’m doing is taking on the issues that — 99% of them — that the president, the last president of the United States, issued executive orders I felt were very counterproductive to our security, counterproductive to who we are as a country, particularly in the area of immigration.”

Most people care more about the economy than immigration.

Immigration is not a dem issue as Trump is only changing the type of immigration and not coming up with real policy. What in the rationale of having white South Africans come in as refugees while the way we do the whole phony asylum thing is one of the things Americans don’t like about the immigration system? Why let hundreds of thousands of Chinese come into American universities? Why not get rid of H1B1 visas completely? How come Obama deported more people than Trump
Did in his first term?
