History repeats itself; especially when the same cast of characters are involved. Trump is gifting Dems easy success in 2026 and 2028 just as he did in 2018 and 2020. If a legitimate two term POTUS emerges through a competitive 2028 Dem primary field, we'll be able to erase the MAGA garbage forever with 8 years of normal leadership in office.[/quote]

Democrats need to get a coherent, popular legislative agenda and messaging together, NOW.  Otherwise they will be disorganized and squander the opportunity like they did in the past.[/quote]

Messaging will remain disorganized and at times incoherent and conflicting until a true leader emerges as the source of direction and communication for the party. The next platform for a true leader to emerge is the 2028 Dem primary. Thanks to there being a historically unpopular GOP president in office, the Dems will have election success in 2026 without having this leader. The Dem nominee will be favored in 2028 regardless of whether they are of Obama caliber or Biden caliber but let's hope and pray for someone with presidential leadership skills who can effectively communicate to the people for 8 years like Obama did.
