He’s not my type but I would not call him dumb. I’ve listened to his podcast, and he’s able to be personable and connect with people. He did a good job on SNL. Ohhhh, now I see why you think Taylor has high EQ.  EQ and charisma are not the same thing.  They are different.  Someone with a high EQ is able to regulate their emotions and help others regulate emotions.  They read emotions well and can give good responses.  Someone who is charismatic draws people in and can be magnetic socially, but may not have the longer term emotional regulation skills to continue building relationships.  
Trump for example reads the room well and is charismatic, but his EQ is low because he doesn’t regulate himself well.  Just to illustrate the difference, I’m not drawing a direct comparison.[/quote]
