VLC had big numbers at their tryouts.  We were at Express as well - they had a lot of kids, but half or more of the kids were pure rec kids who are not good enough for club.  Also a joke that they charge $95 which is 2x more than anyone else.

The clubs are really money makers for the club owners.  If your high school has a top lacrosse program, don't need the clubs.  Kids just need to stay in condition for spring tryouts.  Save your money or throw it away...[/quote]

Sometimes that's true.  But most kids need to be seen a mixture of club and individual recruiting events.  Few go to schools where there coach has a solid pipeline college coaches.  Really funny how all the Georgetown Prep families keep repeating this party line.  It usually is very bad advice.[/quote]
