Sometimes that's true. But most kids need to be seen a mixture of club and individual recruiting events. Few go to schools where there coach has a solid pipeline college coaches. Really funny how all the Georgetown Prep families keep repeating this party line. It usually is very bad advice.

OMG this is the worst advice on this thread. Kid who want to play in college, and by middle school most serious players do, have to play club. It is how you get recruited. High school coaches have input and help but if you dont play club on a top team you wont get ntoiced nd no college coaches will guess you are a serious player.

This is completely false. When the 2018s were in middle school, the Stars Blue team beat the Pride Red team every single time, by alot. When they entered high school and tried out for Capital, alot of Pride girls made it, but both Capital teams were still mainly Stars girls.
Wrong. Look at the rosters. More pride girls on those Capital 2018 teams than stars.
Blue team had 5 Pride girls out of 22, Stars had 14. Orange team had 6 girls out of 20, Stars had 9. Pride did not have more than Stars, not in that class nor any other class.

Top tier girls lacrosse in NY and MD is so far and above what we have in DC.
The only dummy I see here is the last poster. You are the one who has zero idea what you are talking about. Stars girls can abslutely compete with the best int he country The ultimate test for 8th graders is UA and several Stars girls made it last year. They competed against and ARE the best in the country.

Bold words for a program that has one excellent team (2021). Performance was a joke from the outset and could only get Montgomery County public school kids. Partnering with Bethesda/Express was a good idea, but they have yet to field any good teams besides the 2021 team.
Both Madlax, BW and VLC have much better track records for college placement. DCE 2021 will do very well (assuming they stay together), but saying that DCE will be the only nationally known program in a few years shows how idiotic you are.

There 2021 Team has yet to enter HS. It will be interesting to see which of those kids pan out in. Remember, just because you were the MS sensation, doesn't always equate do success at the HS level. I believe several on the team are current freshman at Landon, mixed in with a few kids from Bullis and Gonzaga.
As the sport continues to grow out West and down in the South, and with the limited number of D1 schools, you will continue to see less and less kids from the greater DC area play in the college ranks.

Huge tryouts for Pride. They will give Stars a run for the money for best girls' club in Nova. DD tried out for both and has played for both.

The only teams that routinely beat Stars are Baltimore area teams and LI/NY teams. Both areas have much longer, richer lacrosse hsitory with many parents who played themselves and deeper talent pool of coaches and programs. It makes a adifference.
