Don’t start spreading false rumors. ECNL has there back against the wall. not looking to good..
How so?
What are you blind? ECNL will be gone I MLSNXT 2 years. Lol
Why? Because a few local/middling teams switched to GA? My kid has played in both leagues, so I'm not advocating for one over another, but nothing is really changing on the girls side until you start seeing the top clubs move. If that starts to happen, it's a different story. For HS aged kids, ECNL is hands down the best place to play for competition and recruiting. For younger kids, time will tell.
True but it's not like ECNL has been far and away the top dog forever, alot of the "top teams" in ECNL that people reference wasn't even in ECNL 4-5 years ago, they were in the Girls DA. Clubs transferred over when USSF shuttered the doors to DA, and ECNL was able to grab them before GA could get up and running. I say all that to say, clubs will go to where the money is, and they are not tied to any league long term, and the top dog status is a fluid thing.
I think we are saying the same thing. Right now, for the older kids, ECNL is the place to be. Younger kids should be considering all options. And the reality of the ECNL vs. GA debate really should be all dependant on the specific age group/coach/team that your kid is in. We don't have a PDA or Solar club here in DC where one is the obvious top choice for those that can make the team, we have pockets of decent teams/coaches all across the landscape, but continue to water everything down by adding more and more to the mix.
