Pride is a very fine organization but their program has a major drawback - the teams do not, expcet for the 8th grade team, play in a Spring league such as the MGLL, in which all other elite clubs in the DC-Baltimore area play.

This is because the founder of Pride, Elle Golub, wants the girls to play in the McLean rec league in the Spring.  This decsion severely restrains the growth and ability of the Pride teams (they dont play togther in a Spring league like all the other top clubs).  Pride teams are never in the top bracket in tournmaments as they have missed out on the value of playing time as a team in a Spring league.  This decison by Pride's owner also stops girls from a wider geographiocally area from choosing Pride as girls from DC and Bethesda/Potomac dont have a local lax rec league to play in.  Plus, no local rec league can provide kids with the same competitive level of growth and development as the top elite leagues.
