They didn't have proof of how the kid died, yet they death certified and had to try to prove aggravating factors for the death penalty. A good prosecutor hates a media case or ignores it as much as possible. A bad one lets the media storm cause them to charge past evidence and not try to do a plea to something they might be able to actually get (like a manslaughter charge).[/quote]
