But there are always exceptions. My mom and dad both worked full time, but both were equally involved in everything in my life. Hell, my dad was the one who took me clothes shopping way more often than my mom - AND he grocery shopped - because his personality was cut out for that kind of thing. And now that my mom is in the beginning stages of Alzheimers, he continues to work full time while also ensuring that she gets to her doctor's appointments and making sure she doesn't get overwhelmed with day to day activities.
