How weird is this coffeemaker? It's hard for me to imagine that there are no intructions for it anywhere on Teh Interwebs. But if not, bring a drip cone and filters and explain that you have despaired of ever learning how to use their coffeemaker.[/quote]

I think this is an example of "when in Rome." Either get up earlier so you can have more of the hot coffee, or be content with less coffee and microwave it so it is hot. And just pour in some milk.

Another, more subtle solution (vs. going out for coffee or--as some poster suggested, bringing your own coffee maker) might be to try those Starbucks single serving instant packs. Then you can just microwave a cup of water, which wouldn't be too "dramatic."[/quote]
