As a PP noted, the deadline for parent submissions of materials for the files of children IN THE SCREENING POOL is this coming Friday, Feb. 12th. The deadline for parent referrals of children NOT in the screening pool was Friday, Feb. 5th (now extended until at least Tuesday, Feb. 9th). But if your child is in the pool, you still should have received your letter in plenty of time to allow you to gather work samples, obtain letters of recommendation, complete the optional parent questionnaire, etc. The fact that you never received a letter from the school is really disturbing to me. If it were me, I would be furious -- and I would be calling the principal to complain as soon as school reopens. [/quote]
