Intelligent folks of this thread...give up! We cannot get through the thickness of their thick skulls! No matter how much they grasp for any straws & we refute them they will continue to grasp for anything! These fonts can't read or comprehend anything intelligent. You would have more in depth conversations with a wall. Their unsuccessful attempt to defend this racist pig isn't working & they are panicking. Let them squirm. We know the backlash is simply capitalism speaking but if they don't want to listen oh well. For you mad posters...here is a beautiful sad song played on the world's smallest violin...
look, if you cannot see that this sets a dangerous precedence, then I cannot help you. what you say to your husband or wife in private and in confidence might offend someone someday. you could be the best person ever, your acts do nothing but good, but still share a private thought, perhaps not even accurate, and it can burn you. I think private conversations should remain private, unless you 100% know the context. Sterling is a bad example here, since he is a slumlord ambulance chasing POS. But the worry remains.[/quote If you cannot see that there is no precedence here & that what you say can have an impact on other people then I can't help you either. You trust that what you discuss with other people is private & in confidence but you cannot guarantee that so you have to be mindful of what you say & who you say it to. This isn't an issue of his right to free speech & no one is impeding it. He can say whatever he wants but a person in a position that impacts other people, in particular people he has stated he dislikes, his words will invoke reaction. He isn being banned because the NBA disagrees with him he is banned because the NBA is afraid of the financial backlash. How can you be upset about someone's reaction to the terrible things he has said? No one threatened violence, people just decided to pull their support from someone that doesn't like them. The NBA saw dollar signs and reacted swiftly to save themselves. That is all. We were taught from a young age to watch what we say & do because there are consequences. We are seeing that manifest today.
