It amuses the hell out of me what people see and don't see. When I think of folks who came over on the Mayflower, I think nothing beyond folks coming over on the Mayflower. I don't get it.

One PP said that they could not possibly be low class (unlike all of those other private school arrivistes) because the their ancestors came over on the Mayflower. Another PP then responded that people who came over on the Mayflower started slavery.

The Mayflower PP said, "I secretly think lots of the parents at our private school are first generation social climbers without any real class. My family came over on the Mayflower, so this stuff is irrelevant to me."
