You can F right off with that. I have dual citizenship because I have one European-born parent. As does my husband. As do a lot of people I know. And don’t forget about all the dual citizenship Jewish Congress people.

Why SHOULDN’T I want it? It’s permitted by US law. It’s preposterous to suggest that, in a country made up of immigrants, that people shouldn’t be allowed to have dual citizenship if the other country allows it.

What would happen if a naturalized American from Ethiopia would become a representative in Congress and support Ethiopia's interests in this dispute? Same for Taiwanese-born and Chinese-born representatives.

Not that members of Congress don't take sides, for a variety of reasons. But allegiance to a foreign community, and it's homeland, in the halls of Congress, is alarming. [/quote]
