You are living in the past.  Wisconsin is hot among high schoolers.  Cornell is the exact opposite.  As for job opportunities, let the results speak for themself.  We actively recruit Wisconsin grads.[/quote]

What cheesehead planet are you living on?  Here's some actual data.  No one is picking U. Wisconsin over Cornell, unless they live in Wisconsin and it would save their parents a bundle on tuition.
Cornell acceptance rate: 7.36%
U. Wisconsin Madison rate: 43%[/quote]

Out of state acceptance rates are roughly equivalent.  That also isn’t a metric that means much.  Compare the quality of graduates instead.[/quote]
