Fauci openly admitted in a testimony that he came up with the six feet apart policy because it seemed like a good idea, not because it was scientifically grounded.

The policy makers and people on state levels and in other agencies did everything Fauci suggested, so to imply he didn't make the decisions is incredibly distorting and misleading. They were glued to his words. I remember exactly what happened during COVID. As do millions of Americans. Which is why Fauci is very unpopular with large swathes of the country. His pardoning for all activities dating to 2014 (the year the Obama administration banned gain of function research) is telling and I'm sure it's not the last we've heard of him given that he is no longer protected by the 5th and can still be prosecuted for perjury in future testimonies.

Trump pointed out that Fauci is a private citizen and former government employees do not keep security details for life. If Fauci is worried about his safety, he can hire his own security detail. There is plenty of research showing that most airborne droplet from coughing or sneezing settle out between 3 and 6 feet.  Yes, it's a good idea, but it's also following science, distilled down to a simplified form of 6 feet based on statistical distribution.  Continuing to claim HE LIED or HE JUST MADE IT UP OUT OF THIN AIR is just plain dishonest.

Also, the threats to his life are a direct result of his service as a government employee.  He cut off Fauci's security after Fauci left government yet Trump himself demanded security FOUR years after he left office in 2020.  It's hypocrisy.  Likewise, Fauci gets some royalties and received some awards but isn't even remotely rich like Trump is and has been his whole life.  Trump is out of touch and has absolutely no clue what Fauci can or can't afford.[/quote]
