This whole exchange is a red herring.  The topic of this post was pediatric cancer- so suffering the consequences of free will or  "value" of suffering to prove faith arguments do not apply.

Whether or not a God would allow "torturing of animals" to make people happy, at a minimum, a loving omnipotent God would not give innocent children cancer, or allow pediatric cancer to exist.[/quote]
