Easy there with the reckless generalized comparisons. Makes no sense. The younger Rebels team is in its first year and playing in A. 2027 has played two games in A as well, 6-8 loss to Pride and 2-14 loss against a superior BLC team.
The younger team is in B. And getting demolished. They only have TWO teams total below high school. The 27 team will be lucky to win 2 games. At least MCE has teams. So like I said. It could be worse.
It is also a mixed team 31/32 playing in a 31 bracket. Also, Haight filters his better girls into Renegades which is also his club and they are 8-10 with a +6 GD.
Agreed Renegades seems to be much better (but as I understand has it's own director). Not too many Renegades head to GC. Again, Rebels seems to be in bad shape and he'd be better off merging the programs. He has a pipeline to GC that he doesn't take advantage of. How many girls from Rebels/Renegades even see the field at GC? Seems like Rebels/Renegades should have so much potential, but leadership seems to be more concerned with tourney $$$.
From what gather he has taken more of a role in the club over the past couple of years after seeing it decline and it is starting to show. The pixie sticks program is thriving and I am sure will lead to better quality lax within Rebels and Renegades in the next few years. As far as GC goes He has always recruited CLC, Heros, M&D, SW, and HOCO, for one reason plain and simple the quality of lax anywhere in MOCO just doesn't stack up or even come close to the counties to the north at any level. It is sad but the facts are that any good lacrosse player in MOCO eventually leaves to play better-quality lacrosse against tougher teams and receive better coaching at one of the other clubs. That all translates into higher quality college programs they get to play for in the end.
