Mid 40s 5’6” women checking in again this week. I worked really hard this week and not only budged that last pound to get to my 50lb goal, but knocked off another too! 51lbs gone. 128 today. Over 28% of my body weight gone. My resting heart rate has decreased 9 bpm, my watch says my cardio fitness has increased 8 points since I started this journey. I haven’t built my running back up since I had Covid and my asthma has been bothering which I think is an annoying lingering effect of Covid, but hopefully that will go away again. So now I reset the goal again to 125. I was probably 15 the last time I weighed in the 120s.
Congrats! Can you share your diet?
I’ve shared a few times in this thread, but sure. I drink 12-20 glasses of water a day Breakfast: hot tea with cream (even pre fixing my diet I didn’t eat breakfast) Lunch: egg scramble with whatever veggies I have on hand and if I have some deli meat or prosciutto I’ll chop that and toss it in or a big salad with chopped up grilled chicken, a sprinkling of goat or blue cheese, raspberries or apple, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar (not vinegarette). Or because it’s been cold, I have a bowl of butternut squash soup and an apple. Afternoon: cup of iced coffee with cream. Dinner: whatever I’m feeding my family, just in weighed portions. So last night we had baked chicken drumsticks, sautéed green beans, and risotto. The night before we had roasted lamb shoulder, and the same two sides. Tonight, it’s Friday, so I had a burger (no bun) with blue cheese and tater tots and a beer as we went out. Tomorrow I’m cooking grilled salmon, grilled asparagus, and couscous. After dinner: I usually have a couple of slices of manchego and some raspberries or a bowl of air popped popcorn and an apple, plus I typically have a glass or two of wine.
