So if you had stats for W&M you'd have an easier time getting into Davidson, even given their low acceptance rate.  That said, I would never consider it a safety. I agree with the previous poster -- overall, Davidson is a tougher admit than W&M especially if you are a Virginia resident. Also factor in that Davidson has D1 athletics and is one of the smallest D1 schools in the country (<2000 students) so that might skew the average HS GPA and scores lower.  If your kid is not a recruited athlete, Davidson can be a tough admit regardless of GPA and SAT scores. Davidson went test optional for a 3 year trial starting last year.[/quote]
