All people need to know to understand that it’s a bad idea is that Anthony Williams is against it.

I’ve been spending time downtown for the past months working out of my office and I don’t think people understand how bad the fiscal situation is going to be  for DC in 2022 when the stimulus funds dry up. Probably 50-60% of the storefront restaurant and retail space is shuttered and the businesses, some long standing institutions, are permanently closed. Recovery back to the 2019 economy is going to take a lot longer than people think. [/quote]
