It’s a lot more conservative there, but I do believe the Korean public could come to accept a gay idol as long as he/she kept to their cultural norms about not putting all their couple business “out there.” They don’t have the same tabloid culture that we do where celebs will basically contract with the paparazzi and TMZ for publicity. It’s expected that celebs will keep their private lives private and idols can’t openly date, but can have relationships if they’re very low key about it. [/quote]
