The fact that with the heavy makeup, most of them look like women, is what desexualizes them for me. A straight women who enjoys their music but does not find them remotely attractive.

Yes, it’s a totally different celeb culture. It’s a lot more conservative there, but I do believe the Korean public could come to accept a gay idol as long as he/she kept to their cultural norms about not putting all their couple business “out there.” They don’t have the same tabloid culture that we do where celebs will basically contract with the paparazzi and TMZ for publicity. It’s expected that celebs will keep their private lives private and idols can’t openly date, but can have relationships if they’re very low key about it.

As long as there are subtitles in English so I can loosely understand the lyrics, I prefer them to sing in their own language. It sounds so much better.

I prefer them to sing in English so I can understand easily. Most of them are borderline fluent so I feel like they can write just as good lyrics in English as they usually do, or close.

Unfortunately Dynamite was written FOR them and it definitely shows in the lyriicism, which was way below their standard. I am really excited for Butter I think it will be amazing.

I heard they just added subtitles to the entire NPR Tiny Desk performance, that was a nice one
