This thread started off bashing the Jeff Cup and the teams that participate in it. Two negatives. There was nowhere to go but into the gutter when someone starts a thread like this. Here are that facts. There are still some good GA squads out there. Jeff Cup is still a top notch tournament. Some (very few, but some) kids from DMV will go to Europe and play pro. There are too many leagues and too many Uber travel teams and too many meaningless alliances in the DMV, but that is life.  Clubs spend more team dealing with charity events, mergers and alliances, moving leagues, marketing the next big thing, etc. instead of focusing on training their coaches to be great teachers and role models. How can Jeff cup be a top notch tourney if ZERO D1 college coaches attend? It's not. Even if you say it is - it's not. It's pathetic to spend any money to go.  There are not any good GA squads in our area.  FCV did NOT show well at all in any age group at the GA showcase. You can google this as a fact. Most of the kids going to Europe will be boys.  Rarely if any girls will get offers  to go to Europe.

I do agree with you on your last point.  Way too much social media, way to much marketing. Not nearly enough - get down to the basis training going on in this area. Bobby seems to have ruined any chance for FCV to be a destination club.  The training is second on his list of things to do.

Bruh, you are still here with that nonsense about zero D1 coaches at Jeff Cup?  It was a recruiting dead period this time around. Gonna be plenty D1 players from the clubs at the Jeff Cup watching tape of target players. Keep on trippin'. Also, why don't you get off your hiney and step forward and coach rather than just bashing all the time.  Get a life.[/quote]

Dude - Why have a showcase during the dead period.  Better yet...why attend a showcase during the dead period?  No D1 coaches were watching "tapes" (WTF?) of target players.  You need to go back to high school, BRUH. [/quote]
