I remember when my son was around 10 and got a participation trophy for playing soccer and when we got home he tossed it in the garbage and said we should only get a trophy for winning. His favorite ES teacher was the toughest in the school in terms of grades because she refused to pass kids who didn't do the work. [/quote]
