I wouldn’t wish this year’s senior experience on any child - except maybe the part where so many kids are coming off the waitlists at selective dream schools. It is a small consolation in the short term but in the long term a huge benefit. Now I feel for this year’s HS juniors who will face that much more of a competitive environment next year as all those deferrals and gap year kids come back on the scene. This year’s junior class was also the year of i9/11 babies and sniper infants. In many ways it is the class of 2021 who will feel the true repercussions of the pandemic...
Not disagreeing with you. Sniper infant is a new to me term. What does it mean? And were 9/11 babies a thing? Or are you referring to babies simply born that year?
Kids who were born from sept 2001-Aug 2002 are seniors in hs now for the most part. Im sure a small amount are juniors now and a small amount are freshmen in college. My kid was born in Nov 2001 and I have never heard the term 9/11 babies, as in those babies are somehow suffering today. Can you elaborate?
