Not disagreeing with you. Sniper infant is a new to me term. What does it mean? And were 9/11 babies a thing? Or are you referring to babies simply born that year?
I was much more scared and stressed to leave my house during the DC Sniper attacks than during covid. If I have to go to the store now, I just put on a mask, use hand sanitzer and wash my hands. But during the sniper attacks, I was weaving my way through parking lots and leaning my car seat back while pumping gas. It was so stressful.
Nobody is saying it wasn’t stressful. But with is a “sniper infant” or “9/11 baby”? How would being an infant during those times broadly impact rising seniors??

My 2020 graduate is an anthrax baby. Our oldest was 4 during Halloween 2001 and we were some of the only people taking our kid trick or treating. It was so scary and sad... DH and I drank a lot of wine that night...and now we have a 17-year-old.

Kids who were born from sept 2001-Aug 2002 are seniors in hs now for the most part. Im sure a small amount are juniors now and a small amount are freshmen in college. My kid was born in Nov 2001 and I have never heard the term 9/11 babies, as in those babies are somehow suffering today. Can you elaborate?

It’s not creepy at all. First the private school world of Washington is small so must in it probably know kids at every school ( I do). Second it’s a great way to finally see a full list (often with a note if kid is a recruited athlete) and be able to compare how well the different schools do with college admissions. It’s the first completely clear evidence of how good the local privates really are.

It's definitely a multi-year list. Gonzaga college placement is nowhere near that good.

So, based on the Instagram posts, most of the upper-tier admissions were for sports:

Penn: Crew
Penn: Football
Navy: Crew
Navy: Football
Navy: Lacrosse
Hopkins: Track
Wake: Football
Georgetown: Baseball
Georgetown: Swimming
If you take sports out, you have 2 Ivy admits, 1 Dartmouth and 1 Cornell, and 1 Duke admit. EVERY public school in Fairfax would beat those numbers, even adjusted for size.
Congratulations to all involved, except for the creepy parent that stalked a bunch of high schoolers on Instagram.
