I’m voting for Cristina and maybe Terron but waiting to learn more about him.  David ran and lost to the least popular board member.  Doesn’t even stand a chance.  Symone’s a fed and can’t even run on the Democratic ticket so don’t even waste your time.  When that HATCH comes down we’ll all be scrambling to find out about another candidate.  Also, the overall sentiment that she’s divisive is true.  No chance she could salvage the relationship with the current board members.  She’s yelled at them one too many times.  The last thing we need is a board so independent that everything gets gridlocked.[/quote]

For starters, I work closely with her on a commission and have watched her work these last couple years.  Here’s why I personally am a fan:

1.) Only candidate (to my knowledge) with a masters in education. 
2.) She’s been a teacher in the toughest of circumstances, and she gets it.  She will always be mindful of how decisions impact our teachers and students.
3.) Worked to shape federal education policy and deeply understands the bureaucratic restraints we face.
4.) Already advises school boards in challenging situations across the country.
5.) I’m impressed with how she has contributed in the short time she’s been in the community and think it’s a sign of what more she will do in the near future.  6.) She not only reviews the school budget but also reviews the county’s massive budget. 
7.) Offers a fresh but grounded (and informed) approach to the operation of school board work.[/quote][/quote]

What bureaucratic restraints do we face?  What does fresh but grounded mean?  These sound like slogans.[/quote]
