Hockey, Football, Basketball etc all have older kids. Only the dorks on here make it out to be something Lacrosse specific and continually beat it like a dead horse.
Yes, but all other sports have age based leagues. In HS it is not as much of an issue
So you think a double holdback is okay? a 16 year old playing in 8th grade is okay? Go to your next kid's game and see how many others agree.
you think they are 16 because they are driving, they are 15 and will turn 16 Fall of their Freshman year.
Wow, you are verifying they will have 16 year olds in 8th grade. You are also verifying many of the rest of the team are 15 years old in 8th grade and turning 16 in the Fall. You do realize the majority of the kids are 13/14? I guess MadLax can stand around and pat each other on the back and say how good their kids and coaches are.
I did not "verify" that Madlax has kids that are any specific age. I just know that Mater Dei kids drive in the spring but that only means they are 15 and will be 16 in the Fall of freshman year. I don't think it is "okay", it's just what is happening in all the club teams and at Prep and Gonzaga.
Nice try in trying to deflect away from MadLax but aren't the Dogs, who have a majority Mater Dei, MadLax and aren't most of those kids Maryland based. You continue to bolster that there are a bunch of kids playing MadLax who are well into their 15th birthday. They were turning 15 last Fall. That's 5 months ago and they will be 20 years old graduating high school. To everyone else, ask your club how old the roster is. If you find your kid and team is at a tremendous disadvantage, it's okay to go somewhere else. If your kid is over 15 and turning 16 either in 8th grade or shortly into their freshman year at Bullis, Prep, DeMatha, St. John's or wherever - it's a shame. Maybe it will be commonplace when they get older and they won't have to explain it to everyone else like you do now.
