might be, I have 2 boys,  in my ideal world I would have 2 of each  (but actually prefer what I have to 1 of each) but I think it's possible. I also know that I get told constantly that "your boys will leave you" etc and they are pre schoolers!  so maybe it's compensation for that. bc that sucks to hear over and ovwr[/quote]

NP.  I had my son first and people definitely said this to me.

I think people believe this is true, which is why they say it.

Then when I had a daughter, I heard pearls of wisdom such as - "Every woman deserves to have a daughter." and "She'll take care of you when you're old."

People are idiots.  No getting around it.  [/quote]
