I truly believe that #boymom is a defense mechanism propagated by mothers of only boys who deep in their heart of hearts wish (or wished) they had a girl. #oneofeachmom
might be, I have 2 boys, in my ideal world I would have 2 of each (but actually prefer what I have to 1 of each) but I think it's possible. I also know that I get told constantly that "your boys will leave you" etc and they are pre schoolers! so maybe it's compensation for that. bc that sucks to hear over and ovwr
You get told constantly that your boys will leave you? I've read that on dcum, but nobody has ever said that to me. Why do people tell you this?
NP. I had my son first and people definitely said this to me. I think people believe this is true, which is why they say it. Then when I had a daughter, I heard pearls of wisdom such as - "Every woman deserves to have a daughter." and "She'll take care of you when you're old." People are idiots. No getting around it.
