I just took my first (half) dose about a half hour ago and don't feel anything - still hungry! How long does it take to work?
Me again. Well, damn, that didn't take long. LOL LOL LOL
How are you feeling?? I have my first appt with Anchors in about a week and am nervous about the first day of trying it. Do you feel weird? Also, any tips for a Newbie at her first appt with Anchors? Also I have about 25 lbs to lose but not really much more, and because I am tall and muscular I carry it well. Will he still prescribe to me?
He will, he may just give a lecture on how not every woman needs to look like Barbie, and how men like a woman with curves (which bothered me a bit, because my appearance is not for the sole purpose of pleasing my husband). Anyway, I just sort of sat there and nodded, and maybe said something about wanting clothes to fit better. Fwiw, I'm 5'3" and have been on for about a month. Down about 10 pounds so far, with 13 to go. I agree that can actually be hard to eat enough, and I'm only aiming for 1000-1200 calories per day. But I used to snack a lot at night, so I've always tried to eat super light during the day to compensate. Now, i have no desire to snack at night, but I'm still not eating much during the day. Even when my body feels hungry, my brain doesn't really want to eat and food doesn't seem super appealing. Which is crazy, because I feel like my day used to revolve around thinking about food. For side effects, the first few days I definitely had that super caffeinated jittery feeling, but that subsided. I also didn't sleep well for a couple of weeks - like, maybe 4-5 hours a night, but I didn't feel tired. I sort of wish that hadn't worn off. But now it's pretty much back to normal. I notice I sweat more, esp under my arms. Maybe feel a bit more chill from the Prozac, but not significantly. Not tons more amorous, but maybe less disinclined, of that makes sense?
Forgot one other side effect - constantly feels like I have a small lump in the back of my throat. Apparently it's caused by the Prozac. It's a little annoying, but not that big of a deal. I've read that it often goes away eventually.
