[/quote] If it worked out so fine when all of the states had their own sets of standards, how come the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers thought that it would be a good idea to develop a common set of standards? Did all of the states (not just "many") have high-quality standards? Which states had high-quality standards, and which didn't? Could you please give some examples of states fixing standards when there were problems? How much, exactly, did it cost to switch to the Common Core standards? Not to mention that that is also already money spent.[/quote]
