Madison lost to Battlefield during a tournament game early in the season. Battlefield beat Robo by 2 late in the season where draw controls were fairly evenly split. In the last game with Madison vs Robo- Madison dominated the draws. This time, I think Madison will continue to dominate the draws and will win the championship by a good margin.
Draws are about matchups and clearly BF has a huge matchup advantage over Mad. Mad will not be be able to hang on the circle, and BF will continue to dominate Mad on the draws and this will cause a lopsided win or a championship win by a good margin.
Clearly a huge advantage based on one game 2.5 months ago.
Go ask your draw specialists whether matchups matter. And if they can be a completely different player at it in 2.5 months when they've been working at it for years. What they can do is make adjustments, scout their last game on film, try to course correct. The poster I replied to (you?) was using just several games, including trying to use the transitive property, which we all know fails often. As well as couching a late season game that was in fact in April. It's mid-June. It's the only game of substance to "draw" anything from. Unless Madison's draw girls were out for injury or something. Going to be hot out.
What's the over/under on which team dad gets tossed out first? If they have such an amazing circle how did they just beat Cosby by 1? I'm sure you will say its because the matchups are different but I would not say that Cosby has similarly strong midfielders on the circle to Madison. Is your argument that the Battlefield midfielders are stronger at the circle than the Madison midfielders?
You have the faceoff stats vs. Cosby and BF winning it by 1, with 2 teams you're not associated with? Did you really keep a running tab while watching the replay? That's wild.
g BF won 60% of draws. They had four times as many shots as Cosby. The reason the score was so close is because BF had an extremely sloppy game. They possessed the ball for two thirds of the game No excuses, wet played terribly and barely pulled it out. But a win is a win no matter how you look at it
While 4x is probably? an exaggeration, sounds like a lot of it was not so great shooting, probably mixed in with not great shots (credit the Cosby D) and some good goalie play by the opponent. Just like Madison, things to work on.
No way a BF opponent had good goalie play considering there is such a big gap.
