He chose to give everything up and to empower extremists in his own party, who didn’t even bother to vote for him-just not voting against him on the 15th try, rather than attempt to make some reasonable negotiations with reasonable people who don’t want to burn down the government. He deserves whatever happens to him. He has bad judgment and poor leadership skills.
