The word you’re looking for here is “authoritarian,” not “communist.” Communism seeks to establish a system without socio-economic classes and their associated struggles by vesting the workers (proletariat) with control over property and the means of production) so they can distribute wealth equitably. “Communism” by definition necessarily means the workers themselves are making all decisions. Much of what people who like to throw around terms like “communism” fail to understand is that these forms of government are in reality little more than a form of “state capitalism” under a system of one-party rule.

Exactly. He chose this. He chose to give everything up and to empower extremists in his own party, who didn’t even bother to vote for him-just not voting against him on the 15th try, rather than attempt to make some reasonable negotiations with reasonable people who don’t want to burn down the government. He deserves whatever happens to him. He has bad judgment and poor leadership skills. The country doesn’t deserve to be stuck with him and his inept, ignorant posse though, as shown by the vast numbers of people who vote for democratic representatives.

Are you really this stupid? Disagreements are healthy and needed. Both parties have plenty of those. But this clown show this week was NOT substantive arguments on the issues. It was a political show of influence from the far-right, and it will lead to similar ones during this 118th Congress, just because the Republican majority is so slim it won't be able to pass any legislation without consensus - which it does not have!
