Oil and gas companies want the GOP back in full power forever, that much is clear. They’re reaping record profits (as price gouging does) and want the reckless GOP in charge again. Production is not the issue, even with lowered OPEC+ production prompted by Trump intervention when oil market ranked in 2020. It’s near record highs in the US. The issue is refinery capacity. The US simply can’t refine enough to keep up with consumer demand for gasoline and distillates. [/quote]
