Whitney is the producer. Yes he is on the show and a producers too. It's very scripted - except Katherine getting pregnant twice put a monkey wrench into their planned script.[/quote]

Yes, it did.  That's why Cameron and Whitney are so sour. They expected to be the best characters on the show and instead they're both really boring! The first few episodes were her getting a realtor's license and him buying a property that she was trying to sell.  Snooze.

Thank goodness Kathryn, Thomas and Craig know how to actually keep ratings. No one wants to watch a show about a 50 year old man child wannabe rock star and a girl that bathes herself in head to toe Lilly Pulitzer and just gives out lame advice to a bunch of grown ups that don't have jobs and only drink for a living.
