Sometimes even people who went to name brand schools are also not so bright.
Which was my F**** point But you have so many people who think their name brand degree makes them smarter and more deserving than their generic counterparts. Please ...
Name brand schools have a thing called standards. Even if they don't appear bright, they still proved themselves more than a Phoenix graduate.
Baby please.. There Are idiots at the University of Phoenix, MIT,Harvard and Montgomery County community college if you don't think idiots can get in any and everywhere you might want to take a second look. Anyway, grown ass people trying to get by on where they went to school instead of WHAT they can do is the reason the Peter Principle is alive and well.
Where you went to school definitely matters. And equating a Univ of Phoenix degree with an ivy league degree, well, nevermind.
You Totally missed my point. If you believe that every person who was excepted to matriculate through and graduate from an ivy league school is the next coming of Albert Einstein then you my friend Are the one I'm worried about. By the same token, I am certainly not going to assume and operate on the assumption that someone with a degree from the University of Phoenix is an idiot or subpar candidate for any position. Very often experience in the workplace is what And up separating the men from the boys. The proof is in the pudding not on the piece of paper you got on graduation day. There are smart people everywhere let's not operate on what we assume we know but operate on what we actually know
Ivy league grads tend to receive preference for highly sought after positions, but if you want to hire sub par candidates based on "what they know" without regard to their education, then that is your choice. However, many jobs do have specific degree requirements that are best filled by candidates who display academic excellence.
What they know would encompass their education, would it not? Are you being deliberately obtuse? All I am saying is that having an ivy league degree does guarantee that the person is a genius or qualified. EVERYONE should be thoroughly vetted, unless you think Harvard degree, there is no need for further vetting?.
