As for "moral obligation," OP has already said the loan has been in arrears for at least a year and that this was the first they've heard of it. Doesn't sound like the OP has a lot of extra money around to pay this for the sake of morality. Sad, but you can't light yourself on fire to keep other people warm.[/quote]
