Yes, I think what the ICE agents are doing is despicable. There's no honor in standing outside of an immigration court - a court specifically designed for those following the correct path to citizenship - and rounding them up. That's the equivalent of paying money to go on a hunting safari at an animal park where the animals are bred in captivity for hunting and posting a photo on social media of your big kill. Pathetic.

What resources are they taking up? Provide proof.

And the reason why those good blue collar jobs went to immigrants instead of white people? Because of our society's push for college for all. That's the reason. I was in HS in this area from 1996-2000. It was drilled into our heads that college = success. The only kids who were even allowed to do VoTech courses were those who made the worst grades or were POC. The kids that the school knew would never be able to go to college. So it looked better for the school to be able to say 100% graduation rate with 90% off to a 4-year school, 5% off to community college, 5% graduating with degrees/certifications in service industry jobs that they got through VoTech. The push for all HS seniors to go to college created the huge need for blue collar workers and not enough bodies to fill those jobs. Enter immigrants. They didn't STEAL the jobs as so many like to claim. They took the vacant jobs that white, educated men no longer wanted after finishing college. That's what has created the predicament we're in now of most degrees being worthless because everyone has one. When everyone's special, no one is special.

So now that FL is out hundreds of construction workers on the new FSU housing site, why are there not lines of white and black FL workers lining up for those jobs? It's summer break. FL is teeming with college-aged men. Why are restaurants closed instead of opened with white and black workers replacing the Hispanic workers that were taken?

I grew up with a blue collar worker dad and a mom who worked as an office admin. No college between either of them. They provided excellent middle class lives for us. You cannot do that today. The pay hasn't kept up with the inflation of everything else. The house that my parents bought and raised us in back in 1992 was $169k and it just went on the market and sold for $990k. A tow truck driver and an office admin can't provide the quality of life today that my parents did years ago. That's how my white brother gets his healthcare. He doesn't have insurance. He doesn't have a job that provides it and doesn't believe in the ACA. When he's sick enough, he goes to the ER. When he gets the bill, he fills out the paperwork that he has no private insurance and then provides 2 paystubs to prove his wages to get the bill forgiven. He's a bartender, so he always has checks that show he's "poor" when he's not really poor. They have no idea that he walks out of there into his $80k truck that he drives home to his $700k house.

People don’t go to the hospital to “take advantage”. They go to the hospital because it’s their only option and usually after a long period of not getting regular medical care that might have prevented the necessity for the hospital visit.

You didn't address the point about lying. If illegal aliens weren't trying to game the system, perhaps people would be a little more understanding. Don't come here expecting to game the system. The ones who pay the price are the people who get stuck having to pay exorbitant fees for hospital care, and who don't have insurance. The hospitals pass on the cost of treating illegal aliens to these folks. They can't afford the hospital bills anymore than the illegal aliens can, and the hospitals have their personal information to track them down and make them pay the bills.
