yep, just checked the standings in each age group and have probably nailed it. 11's are the one loaded age group, and doing well, so all the parents are riding the wagon of "we're taking over as best club in the state." When in reality it looks like all the best players go play for VDA in the older age groups and seem to dominate the conference. This is actually pretty common throughout the other conferences as well. You're better off leaving now. Plus, odds are you'll end up getting waxed by Eclipse in the playoffs and then you'll really see how far off the mark you are.
It’s ECNL. If you are talking boys, it’s a joke. ECNL mid-Atlantic had VDA, ARL, Richmond and 14 other teams that suck. Why do you all keep talking about standings? Other than a handful of clubs that dominate year after year, the standings have no impact on YOUR kid’s recruiting. So long as the team is good enough to make games interesting and provide an opportunity for your kid to showcase, the year end ranking of any ECNL team has no value. And to the parent who said something about the academics of Arlington players, I’d say historically their grades and test scores are pretty clearly considered an advantage by the schools that recruit them. It’s NOVA, excellent grades are the norm.
