Nah because teachers can't catch up on grading if there's school. And apparently that day is around a Muslim holiday.

Ideal would be every Wed off so all can get a quick break during the week.

Don't try to cover all major religions' major holidays - if people are out they're out. It's winter break not x-mas break, same for spring break. Make spring break in late March- into early April regardless of when Easter is. And winter break should be two weeks regardless of what day Dec 25h falls.[/quote]

Why would MCPS list these 3 days as makeup days if they have NO intention of using them? If those days weren't listed as makeup days I would have no complaint towards MCPS choice, only Maryland law forcing the makeup to invade what should be the 1st week of summer vacation. [/quote]
